This week our travels took us to mighty Gippsland and the great town of SALE. An easy drive from Melbourne as a destination or on the way to Lakes Entrance and beyond. This week though we had a specific destination in mind which was a relatively newly established business in town called The Coffee Pit. The Di Bella blend espresso is seriously good coffee prepared by a friendly passionate barista and the food is fresh, tasty and has that real home-made love oozing through it..The Coffee Pit is predominantly a drive thru operation but caters well for the punter looking to stretch the legs and get out of the car. Inside is fitted out with modern furniture which is comfy and relaxed, the bench at the front windows has the morning sun pouring through it and is perfect to sit , chill, drink coffee and read the paper.
Attempting the healthy choices strategy we dined out on the house made mixed berry muesli and yoghurt but then caved in and jumped on the locally famous egg& bacon roll with house made relish which was amazing . The service here is great, its so good to be welcomed by big smiley happy faces who genuinely appreciate you popping in and acknowledge you as soon as you enter.
So soon enough it was time to hit the road…well played Coffee Pit you guys rock!
